Whether you are an experienced singer, or just like to sing in your car, come join us as our guest! The Oak City Sound Chorus, located in Cary, NC, is welcoming guests - men and women - who are interested in joining us in the world-wide community of a cappella singing. No experience is required; we provide music, voice training and an enjoyable singing experience under expert leadership. Our repertoire of music is fun and spans many styles - most songs are easy to learn and sing. Learning materials are provided to help you get started, and we sit you with a singing "buddy" so you can join in right away.
### 🎶 What You Can Expect at our meetings
· Warm Welcome at the Door We’ll greet you at the entrance of Searstone’s main building, escort you to the auditorium, and hand you a guest music book so you can jump right in.Personal Guidance A chorus member will tell you a little about who we are, help you find a comfortable starting voice part, and introduce you to someone who sings that part so you have support throughout the evening. If the first part doesn’t feel right, no worries—we’ll help you find the perfect fit.Fun Warm-Ups & First Song Our Director will lead everyone through light, enjoyable vocal warm-ups before guiding the group into the first songs of the night.An Incredible Musical Experience You’ll be amazed at what it feels like to sing in the middle of 30+ people creating rich, a cappella harmony. The “wall of sound” around you is something you truly have to experience to understand.More Music, More Smiles We’ll sing a few more songs under the direction of our excellent Director, Carol Stephenson , and before you know it, you’ll have spent an evening blending your voice with others and creating something beautiful together.
