The doors open at 11 AM for regular admission tickets. The convention lasts from 11am-6PM. We can meet down there between 10-11AM. I plan to be there by 10AM to get in line for for the tickets and to drop off flyer to promote our group. If anyone wants to carpool there we can discuss it in the weeks to come.

There are a number of special guests including comic artists Frank Cho and Bernard Chang. They will usually sign books and sometimes will do sketches for a fee.

On Saturaday night after the convention center closes, they are having a special presention of "The Intergalactic Nemesis" at The Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham.

The Intergalactic Nemesis is a live action graphic novel that is shown on a huge screen. Also on stage are voice and sound effects actors who will do the voices, sounds, and music for the show. It's similiar to how radio shows were produced in the 1930's.

Admission to the convention is $10 for the weekend. So if you want to go back on Sunday, you would not have to pay any extra money. If you want to stay to see "The Intergalactic Nemesis", you need to buy the tickets for that show which includes admission into the convention for the entire weekend. The ticket price for the show and the convention is $24.

Some may just want to go to the convention, while others will likely stay for the show as well.

Small comic book convention but it was fun. It was great to see some members in the group dress up like Q, Dr.Who and Miss Captain America.

This convention had a decent amount of dealer and artist tables for its size. It's much smaller than Comicon or the Wizard conventions. But, for the price and convienence of it being a local con, it's worth attending.

So, I checked to see if retrofantasma was posted yet. It is listed under Films; YAY! Price isn't listed so I called carolina theter. It's not in the system for sales, but she thought it would be the regular $9. I'm not banking on that though; prob call back Monday.

Does anyone know if we can buy tickets to the movie online? I thought there was a combo movie/convention ticket, but I can't find it. I only saw three versions of convention tickets.

Tickets for the show on Saturday need to be purchased throug the Carolina Theatre. I checked for the Retrofanstama which is listed as being at The Carolina Theatre on Friday @ 7PM. They don't havbe it listed there. In fact they have listed a different show not connected to the convention starting at 8PM. So I'm not sure what's going on with the Retrofanstama. Unless it's being shown somewhere else other than the Carolina Theatre.

The purchase price for the show on Saturday includes a 2 day admission to the convention. Balcony 2 has the cheapest tickets to the show @ $23 + fees.
