Casual Friday Meetup

Caribou Coffee (near Brier Creek Shopping Center)

This is our usual bi-weekly meetup. Come and chat, any level of Japanese welcome, from beginner to native. If you are just interested in the culture or want to share experiences with people with common interests, we hope you can come. At these meetups several members will practice communicating (at least partially) in Japanese, and often we will bring in materials that we are using to learn. If you have anything you would like to share, please feel free to do so! There are usually around 10-15 members each time, and we end up going out to eat around 7:30 or 8:00. It's a lot of fun! We hope to see you there. よろしくおねがいします! If you can't find anybody, sometimes we gather a few minutes late (6:20 or so). Just give me a call at 919 三三五 6608 (part of it is in 日本語 so my number doesn't get scraped by marketers)

Free-Style Japanese 日本語じゆうじざい

Caribou Coffee

We decided to go out of the room to enjoy the good season and Japanese conversation altogether. We plan to do hiking/ cooking/ Karaoke/ movie/ restaurant meetups in the future. If weather is not permitting, we can always go back to Caribou Coffee on Duraleigh. The Free-Style Japanese series, started August 2017, is for adult learners of all level and natives. This is a group for experiencing talking to natives or swimming in-between cultures. We highly value your initiative. This is more a place for practicing Japanese conversation rather than listening to a teacher. You would also get input on how to learn Japanese from members. They are abundant in the knowledge! To maximize your experience, it's a good idea to bring your own material, and ask all the questions you have whether it's grammatical or cultural. Any fun idea for the class is welcome! ☆ Note: 1. Please do register your attendance via this site. 登録してね、ぜったい!! 2. Please bring your notebook, pen, materials, idea to work on. ノート、ペン、教材を持ってきてね! ☆ We are mainly adults' conversation/ learning group. If children around teenager and up are eager to learn on their own initiative, we'll consider it on a case-by-case basis. We don't tolerate harassment to members. ☆ Useful Websites: WaniKani -- Kanji & vocabulary https://www.wanikani.com/ -- Thanks for the info Steve! ImiWa? https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imiwa/id288499125?mt=8 This application is a multilingual Japanese dictionary for iPhone and iPod touch devices.
