About us

This is a friendly walking and rambling group for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who enjoy getting outdoors, meeting new people, and exploring Nottinghamshire together.

The idea is simple: relaxed social walks through public footpaths, country parks, woodland trails and interesting spots around Nottinghamshire. Most walks will last around 60-120 minutes at a comfortable pace, so a moderate level of fitness is recommended.

I started this group to help bring people together, reduce loneliness, improve mental wellbeing through walking, and create opportunities to connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

This is an open-minded, friendly and inclusive group. You don’t need to be an experienced hiker — just someone who enjoys fresh air, good conversation and discovering new places.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, come along for a walk and see where the path leads.

The walk is between 3-4 miles and will begin close to the centre of East Bridgford.

The walk will stretch between East Bridgford towards Gunthorpe and back, lasting up to 2 hours.

At the end of the walk there is also the option to have a drink at the Royal Oak Pub which is 2-3 minute walk back to where the car park is from there.
