Great paddle for newbie or experienced 1,2or3 mi deserted isle swim/refresh

Join us on this beautiful adventure out of Hammock park ..this is an easier paddle with three options, your choice, 1, 2 or 3 miles total but keep in mind that the open waters can bring wind and currents.

There are islands that we will be stopping at for refreshments so bring something for yourself to enjoy... The kayak launch is behind the little church and Butterfly Garden by playground on the right side of the road..

Your Feet Will Get Wet....many swim or wade at beach.

🌴Bring plenty of water, sunblock, bug spray, water shoes, lunch/snacks, beach towel, and change of clothing if needed... There are restrooms at the kayak launch but not on deserted island. Date and time may change due to weather. If you just rsvp here that does NOT get you in.

Everyone must text or call Mary Jo to reserve a Kayak even if you are bringing your own kayak 727-200-3142 you are not guaranteed a spot or a kayak unless you have spoken to Mary jo at Sandy Feet Mobile Kayak Company. They trailer in boats for PAID and CONFIRMED reservations, there is no company onsite.

1. $10 members bringing their own equipment! (covers event fee)
2. $30 includes (single kayak, paddle, pfd, and event fee)
3. $50 includes (tandem (double) kayak, paddle, pfd, and event fee)

PLEASE so we may paddle away at posted time, be punctual! Also WARNING parking may be full this event and park are popular and lot is on small size so you may have to park down street and walk, please allow an extra 10 minutes.

We have room for extra OWN folks but rentals fill very fast. Rental trailer size and truck that they can bring is limited. There are no onsite rentals.

Inclement weather (rain, wind, lightning) may cause cancellation.

Cancellations: Call/text Mary Jo to join, cancel PLEASE NOTE Call/text Mary Jo to join, cancel 727-200-3142 Cancel more than 48 hrs before event= full refund Cancel within 48 and 12 hours hrs before event credit towards your next RSVP Cancel day of= no refunds or credit Those that haven't paid within 24hrs of RSVP for event will be added to the not going list to free up a kayak for someone else that wants to go.. We do not monitor the RSVP list on meetup, if Mary Jo was not contacted you are not on the going list, regardless if you RSVP'd on meetup.

This is by Butterfly Garden and playground not baseball fields side of park. Come early lot will fill. Allow time to walk if you have to park down street. Restrooms are available at launch. If bringing your own kayak Paul or E M will help you get it to launch just ask.
