Details

This artist is an acquaintance of mine, Vince. I'll probably be there on Saturday around 545pm to see his 6pm show, wander around the gallery, then see the 7pm show. Maybe go to Dead Bob's for a snack afterwards?

Here are the details--really cool what he does!

Muzicianist is an interdisciplinary artist whose work merges music composition, multi-instrumentalism, and light-painting videography. He presents an exhibition, “Vernal Equinox 2026”, featuring images from the process of creating a multi-sensory exploration of light and sound. It moves from a live performance to a physical image.

This concept begins when Muzicianist writes and plays a song. He is mostly invisible, defined by the luminous energy of his mask, hands and feet. By using a UV-reactive background and light-based costume, his guitar and body movements are video captured. Afterwards, filters and visual effects are used. Finally, the video is deconstructed frame-by-frame, into a series of still images for print.

Come vibe with Muzicianist as he performs on the outdoor stage during his reception for “Vernal Equinox 2026”. Then step inside to view still images of the exhibition. The reception takes place April 11 from 5 to 9 pm when performances will be each hour: 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm.

There is plenty of free parking, and it is two blocks from the 58th Street SunRunner bus stop. Admission is free and open to the public.
