Cumberland Marsh
7:30 am
Ewa Greene, RAS Trip Leader
Meet esteemed birder Ewa Greene at 7:30 am.
Cumberland Marsh is in New Kent County. It consists of marshes on the edges of the Pamunkey River, agricultural fields, and a wooded area. We will be looking for waterfowl, raptors, owls (if we are lucky), and overwintering birds. The loop trail we will walk is about 3 miles long. Use GPS for the meeting spot—Vandel Preserve at Cumberland Marsh. Follow the road all the way to a small parking area, going straight where the Cumberland Rd. veers right towards the Children’s Hospital.
Contact Ewa with questions at 804-306-5612 (text) or ewagreene@gmail.com.
RAS trips are open to all, RAS membership is encouraged but not required, and unless the trip says otherwise, you don't need to sign up. Please feel free to stay for as long as you want. Attendees do not need to stay the entire time listed.
** The field trip schedule is subject to change. Trips may be added, canceled, or modified. Please check our RAS calendar online at richmondaudubon.org for the most recent trip information.
