9:00 am
Priscilla Erickson, RAS Trip Leader
Beginner's birding at The Wetlands.
Meet at 9:00 (–10:30 am) at the Landria Drive entrance to the Wetlands for an introduction to birding with ever-astute birder Priscilla Erickson. We'll talk about how to use binoculars, how to find birds, and useful tools for identifying birds. Then we’ll hit the trails to see what winter birds are around. Plan to walk 1–1.5 miles on flat but unpaved trails. Dress warmly and bring binoculars if you have them; a limited number of loaners will be available.
Other questions can be directed to priscilla.erickson@gmail.com.
RAS trips are open to all, RAS membership is encouraged but not required, and unless the trip says otherwise, you don't need to sign up. Please feel free to stay for as long as you want. Attendees do not need to stay the entire time listed.
** The field trip schedule is subject to change. Trips may be added, canceled, or modified. Please check our RAS calendar online at richmondaudubon.org for the most recent trip information.
