What we’re about

Does this sound like you ....

This group is for those of you who have a deep earnestness to explore the highest truth of spiritual wisdom. You’re probably familiar with the utterances of Ramana, Nisargadatta, Krishna, Christ and others of wise ilk and you’ve explored the Bhagavad Gita and other ancient teachings. We’ll sit in reflection of such wisdom, and perhaps assimilate some meaning into our daily, momentary existence.

Many of you reading this have been on spiritual path for years, decades, lifetimes if you will, however, still feel an inner sense of confusion, and struggle to find any semblance of peace, freedom in daily life. The reason for this is perhaps twofold - first, spirituality has gone the way of self-help, it has become a means to a self-serving end. That is, it's pursued to make sense of ‘our lives’ in ‘this world.’ Hence, we find ourselves trying desperately to create happiness, better ourselves, our circumstances. Generally and inevitably we fall disillusioned with the pendulum of outcomes.

However, true spiritual exploration was never intended for this purpose - it was presented without the need / desire to create fruitive results, rather transcend them entirely, through self-enquiry. This process enables us to question the mystical nature / essence of our existence, our sense of personal doership, and our conceptual understanding of time.

The second reason for our confusion is that we absorb horrendously large amounts 'spiritual' knowledge, without filtering, self-reflection and guidance from others. Thus, perennial wisdom remains purely intellectual. And just like parrots we hurl platitudes: “everything is an illusion … I don't exist” to sound enlightened amongst our peers, thereby satisfying our egoic cravings. However, surely it would be more beneficial to patiently, experientially explore in stillness the magnitude of these and other pearls; perhaps these talks will provide such an outlet ...

Why This Group Started

I’ve dedicated the past 25 years teaching, exploring and integrating in daily life what I believe to be the highest spiritual truths and centres firmly around a practice of self-enquiry. The plan is to hold weekly online talks on a range of spiritual topics and delve into them from a practical perspective.

I'm not out to sell anything, convert anyone, certainly not or promote myself; I'm just a nobody just wishing to satang with like-minded souls ...
