REMOTE ONLY: Building Your Own React Renderer && How to Win at Interviewing

Details
UPDATE: We're moving this to remote only! Do not show up, we won't have any in-person attendance this month. Let's see how many people we can get to participate remotely!
Come downtown for food, drink, talks, and socializing. We'll be talking about ReactJS and related technologies. Talks/topics to be covered:
Building Your Own React Renderer for Fun and Profit by Steve Kinney
So, you write some React. Something magical happens with some thing you’ve heard of called the Virtual DOM™ and then some stuff appears in the DOM on the page. Very cool. But there is also React Native, right? Oh, and what about React-VR or even just React Native DOM? It’s all React. The difference is how we reconcile that React code with the platform we’re targeting. In this session, we’re going to talk about how to write your own reconciler that allows you do whatever you want. Want to write React to target some new and fancy platform or some domain-specific use case? You’ll learn how. It’ll be great. Pinky swear.
How to Win at Interviewing by Will Klein
Take any interview, go into it regardless of qualifications, and come out better. Grounded in real stories of imposter syndrome, brutal tech phone screens, and ultimately, triumph.
