GraphQL in React by Brian Douglas
GraphQL is a query language for APIs and a runtime for fulfilling those queries with your existing data. Brian will walk through how to approach adding it to your React project and explore the relationship between it and you UI. Brian will also explore the architecture of Apollo Client, one of the leading GraphQL client implementations.
Universal Applications with React by Brandon Konkle
For decades now we've chased the dream of cross-platform development in a variety of ways. The introduction of Java in the mid-nineties came with the promise of "Write Once, Run Anywhere", freely distributing runtimes for most platforms. Eager developers soon learned that this was much easier said than done. Today we're finally drawing close to realizing the dream of true universal development as React and the Node ecosystem spreads to more and more devices. Learn how to use a shared core to handle business logic and API integration, letting you focus on what's different on each device.
