Reactive programming with RxJava and Spring Reactor is a powerful technique for building scalable asynchronous systems. In this session you will learn about Reactive-gRPC, a library that combines the simplicity of gRPC microservices with the powerful asynchronous programming model of RxJava.

gRPC has native support for streaming services, with built-in flow control to handle backpressure automatically. Reactive-gRPC seamlessly bridges the gRPC backpressure model with RxJava, helping you build backpressure aware streaming applications from the API all the way down to the wire, and provides a unified programming model across server, desktop, and mobile.

In this session, you will learn:
How to use the RxJava and gRPC streaming APIs,
How the RxJava, gRPC, and HTTP/2 flow control models work together to create backpressure aware microservices, and
How Reactive-gRPC simplifies building highly asynchronous systems and unifies the programming model for server, desktop, and mobile applications.
