The reason to formalize the umbrella meetup is simple: it has always been this way. Most folks in our meetups know of the other meetups, and most events are shared. The great full stack in the sky that we are all building always includes multiple components. There are programming languages, message buses, compute clusters, storage systems, caches and in-memory grids, APIs, devops, and all the other necessary components of a complete application running at scale and serving users, often in the millions. From mobile devices to data centers, we care about it all and want to use the best software engineering practices. We call it Thoughtful Software Engineering.

Join LakeSail and Adyen for the first Rust AI and LakeSail meetup in Europe preceding PyData Amsterdam. LakeSail and Adyen are presenting on the production deployment of Sail, a complete reimplementation of the entire Spark ecosystem in Rust, including SparkConnect, Delta Lake, and Iceberg.
