This group is an idea that one member of the Casual Short Story Book Club had a couple of meetings ago, and I thought it was a great idea. I subscribe to the New Yorker and I would love to discuss the stories contained there with others. This meeting will be strictly an organizing meeting for future meetings, but if we have time we might discuss one of the stories in the latest fiction issue of the magazine, “The Silence” by Zadie Smith, or “Jubilee” by Jhumpa Lahiri. The venue I am still investigating but I think it will work. Any changes, I will let you know.
