Read Philosophy With Me

Come read philosophy with me! We are a small group interested in reading various philosophers to grow in our understanding of philosophy and life. Our backgrounds vary considerably and no prior knowledge of philosophy is necessary, just a commitment to complete the reading each week and come to discuss. We typically read 15-20 pages per week, so the commitment is manageable. In the past we have read Nietzsche and Kierkegaard. Presently we are reading Rene Girard's book Violence and the Sacred (Johns Hopkins, 1977), available on Amazon here.
