Come read philosophy with a small group of enthusiasts, inquirers, and curious readers. No expertise is expected or required. We read 20-30 pages each week and discuss the reading. Feel free to come and simply listen the first time, or dive in and join the discussion. No prior knowledge of philosophy is necessary, just a commitment to complete the reading each week and come to discuss. In the past we have read Nietzsche and Kierkegaard. Presently we are reading Simone Weil's book, The Need for Roots: Prelude to a Declaration of Obligations Towards the Human Being. The edition we are using can be found on Amazon here.
