What we’re about

This is a cozy, thoughtful, committed book club for readers who want to revisit the literary classics through meaningful weekly discussion and shared reading. We’re starting with Virginia Woolf’s brilliant, "To The Lighthouse"—a timeless exploration of memory, art, time, and human connection. Each week we’ll take our time moving through the text with care, insight, and community discussion.

How it works:

We meet every Monday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Each week, you’ll read one chapter independently before we meet.

The first hour of our session will be dedicated to discussing that chapter. Everyone will be given the opportunity to share their reflections—expect to be called on and engaged!

The second hour will be a group read-aloud of the next chapter. Each person will read one page, passing to the next. We’ll pause anytime for deeper discussion, questions, or thoughts.

If we finish early, we’ll use the extra time to discuss what we’ve just read or simply wrap up and connect.

What to Bring:

A copy of the book (physical or digital).

To The Lighthouse is very affordable if purchased used online from sites like eBay, Amazon, ThriftBooks, or AbeBooks.

You can also check out a free copy from the local library.

Prefer digital? You can read it on an iPad, Kindle, or tablet, and it’s available as a free eBook through services like Hoopla (with a library card).

If for any reason you're unable to get a copy, please reach out to me—we’ll find a solution together.

Vibe & Hospitality:

I’ll provide coffee, tea, water, and wine for each meeting.

You're encouraged to bring a snack or beverage to share (not required, just fun!).

This is a space for thoughtful dialogue, friendly faces, and shared literary discovery.

Group Communication:

We’ll use a WhatsApp group for all updates, questions, and communication between meetings.

To join, please sign up by sending me your name, phone number, and email.

I’ll text you the exact address prior to the first meeting. There is plenty of free guest parking nearby, and you’re always welcome to call or message me if you need help finding it.

Whether you’ve read the classics before or you’re brand new to them, this is a great way to slow down, think deeply, and connect with others in your community.

Spots are limited to keep the group focused and enjoyable—please reach out if you’d like to join!
