About us

For people who believe the best stories are shared around a table!

Katha Collective brings people together through food, stories, and culture via different kind of events. We create intimate gatherings for book lovers, food enthusiasts, cultural explorers, and anyone who enjoys meeting new people and discovering different perspectives.

One of our ongoing series is the The Readers’ Supper Club, where members read a selected book before gathering around the table to discuss it over a meal inspired by its cultural background, setting, and stories. It’s an opportunity to experience literature beyond the page, explore themes of identity, belonging, migration, and culture, and connect with strangers through a shared meal and conversation. The series is built around 3 key aspects:

  • Literature: A carefully selected book from different cultures.
  • Cuisine: A menu inspired by the story and its culture.
  • Conversation: A guided discussion that deepens the reading experience together with a Guest Cultural Curator.

Every chapter explores a different country through one book and a carefully curated menu.

But the Readers’ Supper Club is only one of the many series of Katha Collective. We are building a space for many kinds of gatherings and experiences around the belief the belief that some of the most meaningful conversations happen around a table.

About Katha Collective
At Katha, we believe that stories can be told in many ways. Not only through words, but through food, hospitality and meaningful experiences. The brand was inspired by the expressive traditional artform of Kathakali from Kerala, India, where stories are conveyed through movement and emotions. Katha explores how food can become another language of storytelling. Katha is ultimately about creating spaces where food opens doors, stories spark curiosity, and people come together across cultures and perspectives.
