John tells us he has written “so that we may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His life” (John 20:31). John tells us he has written so we could believe in Jesus. We want to see what John writes about Jesus. We are going to be reading and discussing the book of John. All are welcome. If you have a Bible, bring one. And if not, we will have a few extra. I’ll have an open Bible on the table. Please reach out with any questions!
There are 12 books in the Old Testament we call the “Minor Prophets.” Minor is not used to indicate the importance, but because of the length of the books. We are going to look at a couple of these books and consider the messages they contain.
Please reach out with any questions you may have!
“In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in their own eyes” (Judges 21:25). This thought summarizes the end of the book of Judges and is the time period the book of 1 Samuel begins. In 1 Samuel, the people request a king and it begins the start of the united kingdom in Israel. We will see the kingship of Saul and David’s journey to be king. We are simply reading and discussing the book of 1 Samuel. All are welcome. If you can, bring a Bible or a device to read from. If not, we’ll have an extra. I’ll have an open Bible on the table.
