What we’re about

Here are some ideas for what to read, but we can choose different works and subjects based on group interests. You don't need to be an expert in a topic to attend a meeting.

Narratives:

- novels, short stories, etc. that are plain spoken and about something substantive, or at least bold somehow
Examples:
Post WWII stuff like Camus, Bukowski and other Beatniks, stuff from zines and literary journals like Plowshares and Carve Magazine

Ethical philosophy:

-Controversy, issue based philosophy
Examples: Police brutality, child abuse

-Theory
Examples: Early modern philosophers, post-structuralist counterpoints to ethnic, national, and other profiling and biases

Other:

We can talk about writing of other sorts, in other topics based on group interests.

Looking forward to meeting you all.
