True Dating host Reading's most popular speed dating and singles parties. We've hosted hundreds of dating events, all across London and have now expanded to Reading. We pride ourselves on giving our members the perfect opportunity to meet lots of single people, in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. We started the company as we had tried all kinds of dating events and found most of them really disappointing. It seemed impossible to find fun, reasonably priced and most importantly brilliantly hosted singles events. So, we decided to host our own and we truly love what we do.
Unlike other meet up groups, we are actually a full time run business, with a website and members account area so you can match and message with anyone you meet at one of our events. We also have customer service 7 days a week to handle any questions you may have.
Our speed dating and singles parties are mainly targeted at men and women aged 25-55 for people in and around the Reading, Berkshire area and are hosted by our professional team. Creating a friendly yet exciting environment, our hosts are there to keep things relaxed yet exciting and help with those all-important icebreakers. They don't just say hi and leave you to it, they'll be there the whole night to make introductions and ensure everyone is having a great time.

How Our Singles Events Work
We get it—singles parties can feel a bit intimidating at first. But don’t worry, they’re much more relaxed and fun than you might think!
As the name suggests, it’s a party just for single people—no awkward guesswork. Everyone attending is there for the same reason: to meet new people face-to-face, away from the apps and endless swiping.
Here’s how it works:
The Event
Doors open at 7.30 PM. When you arrive, just ask for True Dating and you’ll be guided to our reserved area. We recommend arriving on time to get the most out of the evening. Our friendly hosts will be there to welcome you, make introductions, and ensure everyone feels comfortable.
Who You’ll Meet
Every event brings together a fresh mix of people—all of whom have officially registered. No random drop-ins. This helps create a relaxed, respectful environment where you can genuinely connect. And yes, the odds of meeting someone you click with are much higher!
After the Event
The following day, you’ll be able to login to your personal True Dating account. Here, you can select the people you’d like to see again. If there's a mutual match, you’ll be able to chat securely through our private messaging system.
Important: You’ll need to log in and submit your matches before 4:00 PM the day after the event, as the system closes then.
