"Talking Clean" or "How to have difficult conversations peacefully"

Details

Do you find yourself holding back from speaking your truth because you're afraid of conflict, or of hurting the other person?

Compassionate Communication - also known as NonViolent Communication or 'NVC'- is a lovely way of bringing more gentleness and care into our communication and relationships with ourselves and others.

In this workshop, we'll be looking at some of the tips and lessons that NVC has around broaching difficult subjects in a boundaried way, so we can express what's ours without judging or blaming others, which tends to lead to more peaceful, connecting conversations.

I'm inspired to hold this space because NVC has helped me to connect with my feelings and needs, and empowered me to show up for those things in the world, and I want to share that journey with more people around Reading. I've also found it to be a wonderful foundation for community and connection, and I really enjoy those things.

Please bring a packed lunch, or food to share (I'll be making a vegan + GF stew, so salads might be a really good addition). If the weather's nice, we might finish up with a little walk around South Lake.
