"The Roommate" at Salt Lake Acting Company

Details

The upcoming play at local theater venue Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC), "The Roommate" written by Jen Silverman, was recently featured in the New York Times' theater review piece about 42 must-see plays across the United States this fall. That's a big deal - New York Times calls it one of the 42 best plays in the entire country this season!! Don't you think you should probably go see it?? ;-)

**Please note** -- a lot of people know about SLAC because of their annual satirical comedy about the quirks of Utah life and culture, which shows each summer. This is not that! This is the Utah debut of an acclaimed play by award-winning playwright Jen Silverman. "The Roommate" had a run on Broadway in NYC during the fall of 2024 -- it's a "coming of a certain age" comedy about an unexpected, transformative friendship between two distinctly different women.

Tickets are $45 each. Because this show is by reserved seating, I will collect money from each attendee in advance and purchase tickets for the group so that we can sit together. When you sign up, I will reach out and arrange for you to send payment for your ticket via Venmo or PayPal.

Option to also meet for dinner before the performance at 5:30 pm, for those who wish to gather for a meal and social time before the show. Dinner will be at Tuk Tuk Thai, 535 N. 300 West, #H103.

If you're not planning to join for dinner, you can meet us in front of Salt Lake Acting Company ( 168 W. 500 North, Salt Lake City) at 7:15 pm.
