RSVP to pay and save this group

We have posted a few messages about this but don’t think many people have seen it, so this is our last attempt to get the word out.

Meetup charges us $300/year to run this free group. We’ve covered this in the past but are no longer willing to. If you’ve never organized an event, it’s work! We’re happy to do it, but not while also paying for the opportunity!

If you would like to save this Meetup group and are committed to paying $10/year to do so, please RSVP yes. If we get enough people to cover the costs ($300 plus processing fees Meetup charges) then we’ll keep it. Otherwise, on October 13th, the subscription runs out and someone will likely take over the group and you’ll all be getting emails and events from them (and it could be anyone that does it).

So, if you are committed to paying $10/year, RSVP yes. If we get enough, we’ll turn on donations and if enough people follow through and actually donate/pay dues, then we’ll renew it. Otherwise we’ll let it expire.

It’s been great meeting everyone and if this meetup doesn’t continue, we hope to continue seeing you at events!
