"Artists are the gatekeepers of truth. We are civilization's radical voice."
-- Paul Robeson

Let's gather to see the award-winning documentary "Shoot the People," about grassroots movements for social justice. It's showing at Utah Film Center as part of their series titled Black, Bold & Brilliant.

**IMPORTANT - it's a free screening, but you need to reserve a ticket via this webpage.**
If you show up without having reserved, you may not get a seat!!

Description of the film from the Utah Film Center website:

"Photographer and activist Misan Harriman documents the global impact of protest movements, capturing the resilience of grassroots activists fighting for equality, civil rights, and social justice....Renowned for his wide-ranging work — including powerful breakthrough images from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and capturing the Palestinian liberation movement on film — Harriman also made history as the first Black man to photograph a British Vogue cover."

Showtime is 7:00. Meet at the front entrance of Utah Film Center at around 6:40-6:45. The film is about an hour and a half long.
Afterwards, those who are interested can walk together to Sunroom Coffee, about 3 blocks away, to discuss the movie and the importance of protest movements (now more than ever!!!) over a coffee or a tasty non-caffeinated beverage.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!
