IRPOA Legislative Updates

Details

The House and Senate in Springfield are on summer recess. This means that relatively little new legislation is being proposed, and other than “emergency” legislation nothing is moving through the process. This doesn’t mean that our job stops.

Many of our Senators and Representatives are up for election. Others are out and about in their districts attending fairs, holding town hall meetings, going door-to-door to talk to constituents, and hosting fund raisers. It is a critical time to make your voices heard. Spend some time with us Monday July 28th discussing some of the important issues. Get some ideas of how to address them with your legislators.

  • Updates on the Squatter Law
  • Why Small Owners Need IRPOA
  • Senior Ordinance Proposal
  • What is the price of over-regulation?

It is critical that owners of rental properties get involved. Even if they just have one rental. The small owners are most vulnerable to the over regulation, and the confusion and penalties that come with it. Please invite anyone you know who owns one or more rentals. We need them, and they need us.
