This group brings together residents & visitors from abroad with local Korean residents in Seoul. We aim to create a safe space to build authentic connections between individuals, especially across languages.
*This space explicitly supports LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals. We do not tolerate sexual harassment.

Tired of shallow conversations? Come join us for a casual but intimate gathering to converse with people and form genuine relationships. At these monthly chats, everyone is paired off and share genuine conversation for 30 minutes. Guiding questions are provided, but participants are encouraged to share their own thoughts and feelings.Pair Talks will be done in a mix of English & Korean. You do not have to be a fluent English speaker to join.

Hi, my name is Juhee, and I teach English to Korean folks at Pastelling English (@pastelling.eng). I employ popular education methods and take a critical, decolonial approach to my English education. I've been running these small group chats since September 2025.
