We pride ourselves on making sure you have a memorable experience for all the right reasons when you travel with us….Join our Facebook page and read some of the great comments!
We offer an annual calendar of events, days out with a difference and great value short breaks, as well as ticket-only events. We include complimentary days out as part of our short breaks. If those days out involve visiting places of interest, we pass on group rates directly to you!
We welcome suggestions for new places to visit from our members too…if you’ve experienced a really great place, then tell us about it, we love to plan visits to new places and share with our members.
We can only confirm our excursions subject to reaching the minimum number of people booking, so please help spread the word and we hope to see you for some REAL Socialising soon!

Scarborough, York and Whitby – 2026

## Join us for our 5-day visit to Scarborough with days out to York and Whitby
This 5 day break includes half board accommodation in Scarborough and offers 2 optional days out at great value. These include a visit to York where you can spend a ‘do as you please day’; perhaps visit York’s Railway Museum, Minster, and Castle. Or visit the Jorvik Experience; alongside time to explore the historic streets and famous ‘Shambles’.
We’ve also arranged a day visit to historic Whitby famous for its fish and chips and Dracula!…..perhaps you might like to take a walk up the 199 steps to reach Whitby Abbey. Its haunting image provides the perfect backdrop to Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel! ….we are just waiting on confirmation that its also Goth Weekend…..!

Highclere Castle, home of Downton Abbey – 1-5-26

Highclere is the family seat of the Carnarvon Family, the same Lord Carnarvon, who with Howard Carter, discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922.
As well as touring the house and gardens, you can view the Egyptian Exhibition with artefacts from those times.

We take you on a journey of exploration and visit some of the region’s most iconic landmarks including Alnwick Castle and Holy Island, as well as enjoying a Puffin or Seal Cruise, hopefully landing on the Inner Farne Islands*. We also visit beautiful Beamish…along with a visit to the first ‘smart house’ Cragside…all are optional and will be offered at the group rate. Some are National Trust and English Heritage, so make sure you have your membership card with you… we want to include a good variety of places to visit, so you might need another holiday on your return!
REAL Socialising’s daily coach excursions are included in your travel price and we pass on group rates for entries to places you would like to visit.

Whilst there is no disabled access at Seahouses harbour either; boats and their crews can usually work around this with the tides. With high tides it may dictate access to the boat may be from the end of the pier via a stone staircase. Food can be consumed on board the vessel.
