Join us as we travel to the Royal Hospital Chelsea to meet some of its wonderful residents, the Chelsea Pensioners. Their magnificent home was commissioned by King Charles II and built by Sir Christopher Wren. The Royal Hospital is home to about 300 army veterans, and you will learn all about this fascinating place on a guided tour given by the pensioners themselves! A new addition and starting point for visitors is the Soane Stable Yard comprising historic buildings which have undergone an extensive renovation project and now houses an Interactive Exhibition, Café, Shop and Post Office; along with an Activity Room and the Veterans Outreach Centre. Soane Stable Yard offers a chance to explore the site’s rich history and experience everything the Royal Hospital has to offer today. Tour time 2pm.

On arrival in London, you will have some free time to explore more of Chelsea’s other places of interest nearby which include:

The National Army Museum (free) https://www.nam.ac.uk/
