### Following wonderful feedback from last year, we are offering a repeat visit to one of the most acclaimed illuminated trails ….all set in the amazing Kew Gardens!

### Christmas at Kew is an unmissable opportunity to herald the start of Christmas.

It’s a botanical world brimming with seasonal cheer as twinkling lights and seasonal sounds fill the air. Discover glittering tunnels of light, dancing lakeside reflections and trees drenched in jewel-like colour.
For a moment of reflection, pause at mesmerising flickering flames in the fire garden, wander beneath larger-than-life illuminations and don’t forget to glimpse Father Christmas along the way.

Important information about the event:

  1. The event consists in following a fixed trail / illuminated path where trees, glasshouses and other attractions are illuminated, so everything is outdoors. The glasshouses and all the attractions will be closed during the ‘Christmas at Kew’ event as the buildings form part of the experience.
  2. The trail is approximately 3Km long and can take around up to around 2 hours + to walk around. The average visit time is expected to be between around 2.5 -3 hours. You may find it physically tiring.
  3. The land train is not running as it would not be safe with thousands of people attending an evening event.
  4. Christmas at Kew is presented in the natural landscape. Whilst every effort is made to make the trail fully accessible, by its very nature it will cover some difficult terrain with several varying gradients. These areas may be challenging during wet weather.
  5. The trail is mainly on paths and there is lighting BUT the terrain does vary in different parts of the gardens. The trail is lit, but lighting will be low level in some areas so you may wish to bring a torch.
  6. There are several manual wheelchairs available to loan please ask at the gate on arrival. Staff are not available to push you through the trail. Wheelchairs are available to borrow on a first come first served basis, these cannot be reserved. We allow mobility scooters to be used on the trail, but we cannot provide them for hire.
  7. If you or any members of your group are encountering any difficulties, please alert one of our friendly stewards who will do their best to help you.
  8. There is an indoor café in Victoria Plaza where you can sit inside, otherwise all catering and drinks are outdoors and there is limited seating on the trail.

After reading the above you are still happy to attend, but rely on a walking aids or have a lightweight scooter to assist you on this visit, please let us know in advance as they can be stored in the hold of the coach during the journey.
