What we’re about
Welcome to Data at Scale, a new meetup group in San Francisco, CA for professionals and enthusiasts interested in big data, large-scale data processing, real time and challenges in scaling large data systems.
Our goal is to bring together experts and learners in the field to share knowledge, discuss industry trends, and network with like-minded individuals. We'll host regular meetings and events covering topics such as distributed systems, data warehousing, data engineering, data needed for model training (ex: data that powers AI models like ChatGPT), and the issues and challenges of scaling data.
Join us to learn, share and grow together in the exciting area of scaling data systems and to understand the limitations and the best practices to overcome them.

Scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications can become highly challenging as your data infrastructure grows. How do you efficiently manage millions of tables within a single database cluster without sacrificing performance or reliability?
Join PingCAP Principal Solutions Architect Kathryn Sizemore as she explores proven strategies for building and scaling effective multi-tenant systems. We’ll discuss practical techniques for managing and optimizing a single database cluster supporting over one million tables, maintaining high performance, availability, and security.
What You’ll Learn:
- Real-world examples from companies including Atlassian, Plaid, and others
- Architectural patterns for scalable multi-tenancy
- Best practices in table partitioning and indexing
- Techniques for efficient resource utilization
- Strategies for achieving performance at scale
Whether you’re an architect, database engineer, or technology leader, this webinar will equip you with actionable insights to tackle the complexity of large-scale multi-tenancy. Register now to secure your spot!
