Movie nights are back in person at our new Reason Center in Sacramento. The event is co-hosted by Atheists and other Freethinkers (AOF) and Reason Center. We are at 1300 Ethan Way, Suite 675-B in the back corner of the building. We provide the popcorn, feel free to bring your own snacks as well. There is no fee for the movie, but we do appreciate your donations to Reason Center.

For August we have a documentary film called Baraka, suggested by Jeff.

From IMDB: A collection of expertly photographed scenes of human life and religion. 1992, unrated, by Director Ron Fricke.

From the Washington Post by Hal HInson: Fricke has said that "Baraka" was intended to be "a journey of rediscovery that plunges into nature, into history, into the human spirit and finally into the realm of the infinite." and
"...nothing in this epic visual poem is less than extraordinary. The film's curious, gliding camera (Fricke serves as his own cinematographer), Michael Stearns's eclectic, ethnic score, the slow, silken rhythms of the editing, the choice of subject and location, all these things contribute to the movie's spell.
