What we’re about

You've done a fair amount of work putting your life together after trauma. You've lost so much, now what?

After I did a lot of my healing this is how I felt. I'd made progress, I finally had a stable job, I was living in a safe place, I'd put bad relationships behind me, but wow, I felt left behind in life.

I wasn't sure who I was, what to tackle next, how to "do" life, everyone was way ahead of me in their careers, their relationships, their lives and I felt as if I was just beginning my life - for the very first time. I didn't have the money for a life coach or regular therapy - I was so proud of myself for earning a living and having a bit extra each month, but nowhere near enough to pay for things like that.

Jump ahead fifteen years and now this is exactly how I serve. I got to put my life together really late in life and it would have been SO much easier if I'd have had someone to help me figure out who I was, what I wanted, how to "do" life, where I was getting it right, where I was still getting it wrong, where I was unknowingly sabotaging myself, where I needed to still tweak parts of my healing, honest conversations, honest feedback, encouragement, prayer, pointing me in the right directions, pushing me to be me. And at a price that didn't cripple me.

I do not believe in the saying, "charge what you're worth" - I'm worth more than any human could possibly afford, and guess what, so are you. Helping people get back on their feet to rebuild their life is NOT about profit (I feel very strongly about this - and really feel cringy when people charge a lot to help people). When we put our life back together it should NOT be about whether you have the money to do it! That's ridiculous. What it is about is connecting with people who know the road, who believe you can walk that road, push you to little-by-little stretch beyond your comfort zone, and are willing to help you for a very long time without charging you much. That sounds too good to be true, but I think that's God's way of doing things. So it's my way too.

This Meetup group gives you the chance to encounter some of that, meet me, and "try it out" completely free.

...But, there are limitations, here's what the limitations are:

  • The main purpose of this Meetup group is to find new clients - the Meetups are free, but I'll be doing a 5-10 minute pitch at every single Meetup.
  • All Meetups for this group occur at Constantia Village (Constantia, Cape Town).
  • You'll pay for your own drinks/eats at the Meetups.
  • I'll probably mention God a lot because God is who taught me how to heal.

What can you expect?

  • Encouragement.
  • Tips that will help you tweak healing that you're still struggling with.
  • Tips to reduce emotional dysregulation.
  • Tips to build self-awareness.
  • Tips to set boundaries.
  • Tips about connecting with safe, stable, nurturing people.
  • Tips to reduce anger issues.

Disclaimer: No one can heal you, except you - not family, not therapists, not even God. It's a decision you need to make and keep making.

I really hope to see you at one of the Meetups! You totally CAN have a life that is more full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith in God, gentleness, and self-control! See you soon.
