Ready for a Halloween adventure that gets onto the water?
Join Recess. Time for Singles for a fun, social afternoon at the annual Witches Paddle in Wickford Harbor, benefiting the North Kingstown Food Pantry!
We'll meet up as a Recess group at Wilson Park at the Wickford Cove Kayak Launch before heading out to enjoy the paddle, costume parade, and all the Halloween fun happening around Wickford Harbor.
This event is open to all ages and all are welcome. Recess is proud to create social experiences where people can come as they are, meet new people, and have a good time. All genders and LGBTQ+ participants are warmly welcomed. You don't need to be single to join us for this community event—bring a friend, come solo, or come with your favorite paddling partner!### 🧙♀️ THE WITCHES PADDLE
The Witches Paddle is a community fundraiser hosted by The Kayak Centre, with 100% of participant registration proceeds benefiting the North Kingstown Food Pantry. The Kayak Centre is also kicking things off with a generous $2,500 donation.
The paddle includes:

✨ Most Creative/Original Costume
The parade launches at 12:00 PM sharp from Gardner's Launch and heads toward the Wickford Town Dock, where judges will score the costumes.### 📍 RECESS MEETING POINT

We will meet at 11am, start paddling out at 11:30 sharp.
We'll meet here as a Recess group before the paddle so you can connect with other participants before heading out.

RSVP here so I know your coming, but all money goes straight to the Kayak Center and then to the food pantry. Your paddle registration is handled separately by The Kayak Centre.

The cost is $25 per paddler, and all proceeds go to the North Kingstown Food Pantry.
This is a BYO-boat event. Kayaks, paddleboards, canoes and pedal kayaks are welcome. There are no rentals available for this event, so please make sure you have your own watercraft.
All paddlers must wear a PFD/life jacket in accordance with Rhode Island law.
Dress for chilly October weather and water—we recommend layers and appropriate water gear.### 👻 COME PADDLING WITH RECESS!
