About us
Recovery in the Word is a Christ-centered Bible study and recovery community for anyone seeking freedom, healing, fellowship, and a deeper relationship with God. Whether you’re in recovery from substance use, walking through mental health or other life struggles, or simply looking for a community where you can grow in your faith, you’re welcome here. You don’t have to consider yourself “in recovery” to come.
We meet every Saturday at 449 Recovery, in Mission Viejo, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to open the Bible together, talk honestly about life and recovery, pray, encourage one another, and build genuine friendships. Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years, are new to faith, or are simply curious about Christianity, come hang out with us.
We believe recovery is about more than leaving an old life behind—it’s about healing, growing, and becoming who God created us to be.
No perfect people. No judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just come as you are. All are welcome.
