BioDiversity Trip: Winter Wonders

Start the new year off with an immersion in the natural world! Our adventure will take us to several National Wildlife Refuges (Pocosin, Mattamuskeet and Alligator River), with a focus on birds. A few highlights will be witnessing the wintering grounds of Tundra Swans, Snow Geese and other waterfowl, walking in the tracks of bear and the endangered Red Wolf and connecting with the land and each other.
Transportation, 3 nights lodging, food (except one dinner out), professional guides, supplies for birding, nature art and nature exploration are included.

Fall Gratitude Night Hike and Fire

Connect with the land and other like-minded folks as we spend an evening wandering the trails of Reedy Creek Nature Preserve before enjoying a fire. We will meander along the trails, allowing for pauses along the way to cultivate gratitude for world around us. After our walk we will gather around the fire for more community time and marshmallows. Adult participation required if under 18.

Invite wellness into your life through a mindful journey on the land. Discover the therapeutic benefits that nature has to offer. Through proven mindful techniques, such as sensory engagement, meditation walks and sit spots, we will slow down and open up to the healing power of the more than human world. No experience needed. Led by a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide. Adult participation required if under 18.

Get outside, get moving, get healthy! Fresh air, sunshine, beautiful surroundings and wonderful people are included! This is a medium to fast walk of 2.5 to 3 miles over an hour+ on uneven terrain. Adult participation required if under 18. Meet at the Reedy Creek Nature Center.
