Level 1 Learn Reiki from an experienced and compassionate Reiki Master who really cares about each of her students. Begin your journey in this one day workshop that provides expertise and practice in all of the steps involved in Reiki.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH: Join us for Reiki 1 and begin your Reiki healing journey. After being attuned (initiated) into Reiki, and receiving the training, you will be able to give yourself Reiki as well as give Reiki to family, and others, even pets! This training will carefully and systematically take you through a beautiful understanding and technique of Reiki.
You will gain a thorough understanding of the system of Reiki, learn how to give yourself and others a complete Reiki treatment, and receive the First Degree Reiki 1 attunement in the style practiced by Hawayo Takata. With additional practice and experience, you will be well on the way to becoming an accomplished Reiki practitioner; and you may want to delve deeper by taking additional Level 2, Advanced or Master Level classes.
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE: You will receive training, a notebook of information with which to use and refer to throughout your Reiki journey and you will also receive your attunement to be able to offer Reiki to others. You will receive a certificate at the completion of class.
WHAT WILL THE TRAINING INVOLVE: Reiki First Degree Level 1 Class Training: Receive in-depth training from Reiki Master and Master Teacher Jacquie Freeman.
Jacquie has studied Reiki for decades, under the tutelage of three Reiki Masters. All 3 of these Reiki Masters imparted their years of wisdom and compassionate caring to Jacquie. They each held an excellent direct ancestry line to the teaching of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki and to Hawayo Takata, which is very important. Jacquie has been a Reiki practitioner for years, first starting Reiki in the late 1990's. She became a Reiki Master in 2011.
Jacquie holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Cal State San Bernardino and is also a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN REIKI 1:
In Jacquie's Reiki First Degree Level 1 classes, you will be taught the first Reiki symbol and "attuned" to being able to use this symbol in your Reiki practice! You will learn the history of Usui Reiki and its evolution in the West. You will learn about the Chakra System and how it became integrated with Reiki. You will learn all the hand patterns and positions to effectively give a Reiki session to yourself and to others. You will receive your first attunement allowing you to be a source of this healing energy and able to give this energy treatment to others.
The attunement will be given in the style practiced by Hawayo takata, and will be given to each participant individually.
You will learn:
*The history of Reiki
*The first Reiki symbol (the Power Symbol)
* You will learn through hands-on practice the art of Scanning, which is a sensing of imbalances in the energy field.
* You will also learn Grounding, which is a method to connect energetically with the center of the Earth.
* You will learn about all 7 of the main Chakras in the human body
\ *You will learn and practice all of the major hands-on positions for Chakra Balancing and be very familiar with each of these hand positions. * You will each receive experience in giving Reiki after your first attunement and will be participants in receiving Reiki as well.
\ *We will finish the day of training with a beautiful meditation and a ceremony to award you your Reiki Level 1 Certificate of Completion. *And you will receive a Reiki Level 1 Manual
TO BE MORE COMFORTABLE, You may choose to bring a snack and water bottle to partake of during breaks.
You will receive a notebook with pertinent information, writing paper for notes and pictures of the hand positions to take home with you for added practice. Please wear comfortable clothing. We will be practicing and learning both inside my home and outside on the patio.
This class will begin at 1 pm and last approximately 5 hours concluding at approximately 6 pm.
Jacquie will always be available to help you answer any Reiki related question or questions that you may have. It is highly recommended that you attend follow-up practitioner meetings and Reiki Shares. Once you go through our Reiki Level 1 Course you are always welcome to contact Jacquie with any questions you may have or help you may need either by telephone, email or in person. You may also return to go through the same course any time it is offered with no additional costs incurred to you. -----------------------------------------
MORE INFO: I know how important it is to learn Reiki from someone you respect and also feel a connection with. This is why I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Bachelors Degree in Teaching/Education. I was an Elementary School Counselor in Moreno Valley and in Indio for 25 of years. I also taught Kindergarten for 5 years at the beginning of my career. I was chosen to be a mentor teacher and I love teaching others! After becoming a school counselor I was honored to receive the State of California Counselor of the Year in 1997. I love living a compassionate life serving and helping others and I love teaching. I know how important it is to choose a Reiki Master that you feel comfortable learning from, that you respect, and that you feel a connection with. I strive to be the kind of person that I would want to learn from, that I respect and I have a deep connection with Spirit! I was blessed to have learned from 3 Reiki Masters - each unique. I took from them many wonderful tools and I aim to impart that wisdom and the original teachings of Dr. Mikai Usui and I teach them to you. I am a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a wife, a niece, an aunt. I am a seeker of truth. I don't grand-stand. I live a beautiful life of blessings, blending and weaving my Reiki into each and everything I do each day. After I retired from being an elementary school counselor I worked as both a Yoga Teacher and a Reiki Master at a local Yoga studio here in Riverside, CA and led Yoga and Reiki retreats throughout Southern California. I meditate and do Reiki Daily. Let me tell you a bit about how I began my own personal Reiki journey (see next paragraph!) and when I meet you, I'd love to learn how you came to seek a Reiki path as well. We are truly all in this life together and all one! I have always had a spiritual connection with the Universe and was raised in a very compassionate and tolerant manner. I have had many psychic experiences and have always felt a deep connection with the "other side" and have been open to things that would connect me to a higher power and higher path. Many years ago, about 1993, I first "found" Reiki not even knowing what it was. Interesting how the Universe provides for us! I was having problems with my back and had gone for a massage. The masseuse asked me if it was OK if she did (Reiki) to my back. Not knowing what that was, I had blind faith and said, "Sure!". Her hands immediately became very warm. In fact, I would say they were hot. I turned and looked to see what she had put in her hands and she showed me she had nothing in her hands at all. She told me it was "Reiki". Well, that was surprising and my back did feel much better after the massage. In fact, I felt excellent! That was my very first experience with Reiki and I have had many profound Reiki experiences, some more so than others, since that time so many years ago and it started me on a very powerful and spiritual path learning about Reiki. I invite you to consider learning more about this wonderful healing energy called Reiki. I have studied it in-depth and practice it daily. I began my Reiki journey as a "client", and then felt it was time for me to take my own training. I began with a Reiki 1 class taught by a Reiki Master in Huntington Beach. I began practicing immediately and found that Reiki made a huge impact on those I gave it to! My husband, an original sceptic became one of my firmest believers in the power of Reiki healing energy! I continued my Reiki practice and sought to take a Reiki Level II class. Reiki II is amazing and the "distance" symbol I learned provided me with many amazing experiences. I felt a deeper connection to Reiki the more I practiced and I felt like it was the right thing to do when a fellow practitioner introduced me to a Reiki Master and she told me I was ready to become a Reiki Master! I took this major step very seriously and prepared in may ways. I was attuned to Reiki Master in 2011. My Reiki became even deeper and continues to be a very important part of me and my every day life. Since that time, I have offered many Reiki I and Reiki II classes and Healing Circles to hundreds of participants on their Reiki healing journey and have given a Reiki Master Level class and was humbled and touched by the experience of attuning new Reiki Masters to this incredible healing energy. Each of us is on our own spiritual journey. I invite you to think about Reiki to see if it might be right for you. I have found it nothing short of amazing and am so thankful to have "discovered" it in such a simple manner that has proven to be so profound personally.
