What’s it really like working in ‘roles’?

Details
This event is for those who are experimenting or interested in working with 'roles'.
‘Roles’ are accountabilities like ‘manage client relationships’ or 'maintain website’. While fixed job descriptions can go out of date quickly, roles are regularly reviewed by the whole team. Individuals temporarily steward a role so it can pass between people as and when needed.
Some organisations find this way of working provides more accountability, adaptability and resilience.
If you want to know more, Samantha Slade gives a good explanation here.
Please bring your questions, challenges, or any surprises you have encountered whilst working in this way, or transitioning to this way of working. This is a great opportunity to support each other and see if we can find solutions for the tricky stuff and amplify the good stuff.
Is this session for you?
- Our purpose is to connect and share ideas with others who are actively practising decentralised and progressive ways of working.
- We also welcome those starting their new ways of working journey and ask that they read up on the session topic beforehand.
- Sessions are participatory with opportunities to discuss, question and reflect on the topic at hand, to deepen our collective learning.
This is a Reinventing Work: London event. Learn more about the wider Reinventing Work movement here: https://www.reinventing.work/
