While working with women on the topic of romantic relationships, certain expectations have often come up:
He needs to change.
I want to be pursued and treated like a queen.
I have a long list of what he needs to be like.
I just want to find a man who does things right.
It’s not that those things are necessarily wrong to want, but I'm going to tell you the truth:
You may finally meet someone you like, but new problems will arise in that relationship. You'll create new expectations, and the horizon will, once again, move further away.
If you want to be successful in your relationships, you must continuously focus on improving the most important one – the relationship with yourself.
THERE. IS. NO. WAY. AROUND. IT.
That's why the Relationship Queens group has a book reading club. Here, we study the wisdom that will give you a true and deep understanding of who you are, so you won't feel the need to prove your worth to anyone. In turn, others will immediately recognize your vibrant energy and want to be around you.
There are no strategies to memorize for relationships. If you understand yourself, you'll naturally know what to say and do in your relationships with men and everyone else.
In August we will read "A New Earth" by the truly incredible Eckhart Tolle.
This is the one book I will always and forever recommend since it's the book that opened my eyes to the endless love, goodness, and beauty of life.
