We casually banter about sometimes controversial philosophical concepts. You are encouraged to submit your own rants, disagreements, arguments, etc!
Some good things to know about the group :
1 : You are free and encouraged to email us topics at : philosophyrenegade@gmail.com
2 : We don't believe in waitlists. However many people show up, we'll figure it out.
3 : Moderation is done only lightly. The iron fist must be covered in a velvet glove.
4 : Passionate opinions need to be encouraged.
5 : Topic selection is not a democratic process. However, essentially no topic is forbidden from its proper time and place.
6 : Quality over quantity.

It is time again to have a birthday party. I still remember last years' birthday party quite fondly. Let's have an even better one this time! The entire day will consist of intellectual discussions in different avenues and contexts.

Anyone (and I really mean it) is free to join this event as long as the #1 rule is upheld. The #1 and only rule is : Don't mess with the vibe, man!
2) On the topic of time
You also don't have to hangout with me literally all day. Hangout for as long or as little as you want. Pick whatever part of the schedule you like. I won't be offended.
3) On the topic of gifts
I'm not expecting any of you to give me presents or whatever. I'm not 8 years old. However if you feel overwhelmingly compelled to give me something ; I won't say no.Agenda :

Legion of Honor Art Museum
(this time we are actually going IN!)1:00 PM - Lunch / coffee at the Legion of Honor Museum.
I have prepared a short prompt about art here. Please read it ahead of time if you are so inclined.
~2:00 PM Walk (or perhaps drive) to GGP while pretending to have sophisticated opinions on art. Brownie points will be given to the most pretentiously presented propositions (hopefully delivered as sarcasm).
~3:00 PM - Taco Lunch.
Opinions on the tacos will be delivered by a bona-fide taco expert.

~4:30 PM - Check out the botanical garden and try to understand the whole "nature" thing. Short picnic / chat near the pond and stuff.
