Anniversary Trail Walk
Where: Meet at Riversdale Park, Cnr Spencer Street & Riversdale Road Camberwell at 9.00am.
Park in Spencer Road carpark.
This charming walk weaves through a mixture of residential streets, parklands and in some places follows the direct rail line of the Outer Circle train line. The old railway opened in 1891, parts of the trail were opened 100 years later in 1991, hence the name Anniversary Trail Walk.
The overall trail is 15 kilometres, however we will walk 5.5 kilometres on the day. Actual walking time will be about an hour.
Along the way we will see assorted birdlife, pass by huge old trees, shady foliage and walk under historic bridges.
Coffee: We can pause for coffee at the Snow Pony Cafe and enjoy a chat with regular and newfound friends in a warm social setting.
Fitness Level: This walk is rate easy on concrete or bitumen paths.
