Welcome to the Reno FreeThinkers Meetup Group!
This community is for those who identify as freethinkers, including those leaving their religion, nonbelievers, atheists, agnostics, humanists, or simply questioning life in the Reno area.
We come together to discuss our beliefs, share resources, and support one another in our journey towards critical thinking, skepticism, and life experiences.
Whether you are a lifelong atheist or just exploring your own beliefs, we welcome you to join us for open-minded discussions, social gatherings, and community events. Let's come together to celebrate reason, science, and freethought in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Reno Freethinkers was established in 2009. We have had some amazing years. Due to COVID, we disbanded and have met infrequently since then.
We are making an earnest effort to restart the group.
Freethinkers are a secular group where we meet to have conversations with like-minded people.
At first, we will have a meet-and-greet of new and old members. Then we'll discuss a December Festivus party, and possibly a Darwin Day Event in February 2027.
A speaker will be giving a 20- to 30-minute talk on AI. After that, we will have a discussion with questions and maybe answers, and then end the meeting with open mingling.
Mark Norton has agreed to serenade us while we gather and mingle during the meeting with his melodic, entertaining guitar playing.
Meals are at your own expense from the menu.
