About us
The mission of Resonance Improv Alliance is to inspire and empower individuals to build meaningful connections through the principles of improv. Our goal is to make this form of comedy accessible to everyone. Special skills are not required, because improv performance relies on human connection, not clever quips. You don't have to be LeBron James or Lionel Messi to enjoy playing sports, and you don't have to be Tina Fey or Drew Carey to enjoy improv!
Find yourself laughing from the audience at one of our shows or playing facilitated games with other fun adults. We'll teach you everything you need to know!
For the trained improviser, Resonance Improv offers organized public shows for your troupe to perform in NOVA, closed shows for friends and family to develop your stage chops, and volunteer opportunities to run social jams and workshops for underserved communities, such as early-stage dementia and Parkinson's patients, youth, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Improv refers to the collaborative performing art, not stand-up. Learn more about us and improv at resonanceimprov.org. Join us and you'll meet fun, energetic, and humorous folks who love playing make believe!
