Scientific Strolls: The Geology of Napatree

The Rhode Island Land Trust Council is posting this event on behalf of The Watch Hill Conservancy. For this event, the land trust requires that you register directly with them. Registration on Meetup does not confirm your attendance. Please register here.

Join The Watch Hill Conservancy and The Napatree Science Advisors for an educational program that celebrates a decade of stewardship in The Napatree Point Conservation Area. Take part in a guided tour led by Napatree Science Advisor, Dr. Bryan Oakley, as he shares his expertise on the fascinating geology of The Napatree Point Conservation Area.

This program is designed for individuals aged 15 and older, and participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes, covering approximately 2.0 miles on sandy terrain. No dogs.

Parking for this program is available throughout the village of Watch Hill

The Napatree Scientific Stroll program showcases 10 years of monitoring and stewardship efforts in The Napatree Point Conservation Area. To learn more about the incredible work that has been done, you can read the 10th Anniversary of The State of Napatree Report.
