Calling all leaf peepers! Aquidneck Island Land Trust will lead a free autumn nature walk on Wednesday, October 15, from 4-5:30 p.m. We will look for fall foliage and walk a section of the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the longest public-access walking trail on Aquidneck Island. Participants will learn more about the plants of our local ecosystems and ask questions with our Stewardship staff in an intimate setting.
Park in the lot across from the trail kiosk and polo field at the Gardner Seveney Sports Complex, off East Main Road. We will meet at the kiosk and head south, past The Pennfield School, across Sandy Point Road, and into the woods. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly.
Rain date: Thursday, October 16 from 4-5:30 p.m.
