Hike Description
Old Furnace State Park is located in Killingly, CT. It is mainly known for the cliffs that rise 200 feet above Furnace Pond, which gives the view pictured above. This hike is around 5.5 miles and includes a loop around Ross Pond and a climb to the top of the cliffs. This hike has some hills, and the trails have lots of rocks and roots.
With the rocky trails, a pair of hiking boots are strongly suggested. As always bring water (1.0-liter minimum) and snacks in some type of pack along for the trail.
