MT Cardigan - Long and Leisurely All Day Hike

Time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather on Mt. Cardigan. This will be an all-day hike with stops at Firescrew, Cardigan, South Peak, and other view points. Since we will be traversing up and down summits, the elevation gain is an estimate, but roughly 1800 feet. Although this will be a moderate paced hike, you need to be comfortable climbing on open rock ledges and enduring a day of up and down elevation. We will be taking the following trails: Manning Trail Up to Firescrew, Mowglis Trail to Mt. Cardigan, then Clark to side trail to South Peak, South Ridge Trail to Skyland Trail and Woodland Trail all the way down so it's gentle on the knees.
Mileage Roughly 8 plus
You must have the ten essentials for hiking. If you don't know what that is, you shouldn't be on this hike. Please bring a lunch, plenty of water and snacks. We will be out all day.
RSVP Process: You will be asked one question after you click "YES" for this event - "Did you read the entire event description? Will you have the items required to safely participate in this event? You must have completed a four mile hike with at least 1200 feet of elevation gain within the past two months. Where and when was this hike?" Provide enough information for me to know a little about you but stay under the 250 character limit. Also, include the name and number of your emergency contact.
