Please join us for an evening exploring the vibrant and ancient world of Greek wine through a blind tasting experience. We will have just returned from a trip to Greece, and will be excited to enjoy an array of these wines together.

Greece, one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions, offers an exciting range of wines shaped by distinctive landscapes—from sun-drenched islands to rugged mountain vineyards—and an extraordinary array of indigenous grapes. With a renewed focus on quality and authenticity, modern Greek winemaking brings these ancient traditions to life, producing wines with character, freshness, and a sense of place unlike anything else.

Please bring:

  1. A bottle of white or red Greek wine in the $20-50 range to contribute to the blind tasting.
  • If your budget permits it, please consider bringing a white Santorini wine. These retail in the $40-50 range, befitting their excellence and reputation as among the finest wines of Greece.
  • Please skip Retsina for your selection. Retsina is a traditional Greek wine infused with pine resin, a practice dating back thousands of years when resin was used to seal amphorae—giving the wine its distinctive herbal, piney character that people tend to either love or hate. There will be one Retsina to taste at the end of the evening.

2. A plain, brown paper wine bag (the kind they give you at the shop when you buy your wine. If you have a few extras, please bring them too.)
3. Four wine glasses
4. Optional: a snack to share

There are only 12 spots available for this event, so sign up right away! If your plans change please be sure to change your RSVP so that someone on the wait list can attend.
