What we’re about
Richmond City Cinema Club is all about cultivating a community of movie lovers. Our club is meant to be a fun and inclusive safe space, an easy social experience. Life is messy, but movies are cool. There's no pressure if you can't make it or don't feel like engaging once you're there... we're just happy to have you! And if you're looking to make real friends, we got you there too.
Events are movie showtimes at the Byrd or Movieland (and maybe the occasional Regal trip for an IMAX film or limited engagement). All movies are fair game, from independents to blockbusters, from new releases to classic films.
Sit with the group or wherever you'd like. Once the credits roll, we’ll meet up to chat about the movie and get to know your fellow moviegoers.

If this is your first movie with us, welcome! We will try be there about 10-15min early in the lobby. In the theater, we tend to find seats in rows G through J. If it’s not busy, we try to space out so people can rest their elbows. You’re welcome to sit with us or wherever you prefer! After the movie, we’ll chat in the lobby. Don’t be a stranger!
