Richmond City Cinema Club is all about cultivating a community of movie lovers. Our club is meant to be a fun and inclusive safe space, an easy social experience. Life is messy, but movies are cool. There's no pressure if you can't make it or don't feel like engaging once you're there... we're just happy to have you! And if you're looking to make real friends, we got you there too.
Events are movie showtimes at Studio Two Three, the Byrd, or Movieland. All movies are fair game, from independents to blockbusters, from new releases to classic films.
Sit with the group or wherever you'd like. Once the credits roll, we’ll meet up to chat about the movie and get to know your fellow moviegoers.

If this is your first movie with us, welcome! We’ll be there about 10-15min early in the lobby if you want to chat beforehand. In the theater, we tend to aim for rows G-J. You’re welcome to sit with us or wherever you prefer! After the movie, we’ll chat in the lobby. Don’t be a stranger!

🎬 Series: No Future Under FascismOne of the most controversial films ever made, Peter Watkins' brilliant film took a painfully honest look at Nixon war politics and painted a bleak image of a United States with civil liberties revoked and political dissidents rounded up and hunted for sport. It's The Hunger Games if it removed all science fiction themes and served instead as a pseudo-documentary for fascism in the U.S. It is something to view Watkins' vision and interpretation of our fascist policies and shaky stance on human rights over 50 years ago with the knowledge of how we've progressed in the decades since (and how it's accelerated in the last 10 years).
Before the film, we'll show the extended introduction by filmmaker Peter Watkins. It is excellent context for the film and a rare sight!
This screening will be subtitled.
